CategoriesChristian Discipleship Tuesdays

Scores of church members this week thronged the main auditorium of ICGC Christ Temple to attend the first week day service after Greater Works.

The Tuesday services this season is dubbed Christian Discipleship Tuesdays.

Also lined up for member’s enrichment every week is Personal Development Wednesdays, Small Group Thursdays, Consecration and Prayer Fridays as well as After School Programme for children between 2-12 years to be helped with their homework in a Godly atmosphere.

Preaching the sermon on Tuesday was Reverend Fiifi Otabi Wilson, Head Pastor of ICGC Faith Temple, Ofankor on the topic, “Living the new life”.

He said unlike any religion where the faithful can learn everything and automatically be enthroned as a follower, the Christian faith is such that failure to receive Christ disqualifies a person from the new life. He preached from Ephesians 4:22-24 and John 3:5-6 explaining that although Christians embrace a new life as believers, the old life lingers encouraging congregants to imbibe the Holy Spirit to complete the journey.

He said the new life is created after the image of God and it is righteous and holy. It has power over sin and able to dominate sickness and the power of darkness.

The man of God said the new life is not subject to natural norms and believers require the anointing to live that kind of life.

Reverend Fiifi Wilson encouraged believers to pursue faith in order to experience the new life adding that no Christian can live the new life in the human flesh.

He said a number of Christians have received Jesus but are not living by faith.

The Head Pastor of ICGC Faith Temple, encouraged believers to declare what is written in scripture, each time they encounter difficulties with the enemy.

Christian Discipleship Tuesdays continue September 14 with Reverend Priscilla Naana Nketia, Head Pastor of ICGC Eagles Temple, Gbawe teaching on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Kindly make a date.
